“THE MAD SCIENTIST”
The Mad Scientist follows the life of Nikola Tesla from when he first stepped foot on American soil in 1884 to his final days living alone in his New York Hotel room. The film follows Nikola Tesla from his battles with Thomas Edison and JP Morgan to his friendships with Mark Twain and George Westinghouse. Nikola Tesla battled the strong arm of American Inventor lobbyism led by Thomas Edison with inventions that would change how we view the world forever.
WE WILL BE DONATING A PORTION OF THE FILM’S PROFITS TO THE TESLA SCIENCE CENTER at Wardenclyffe from the producers pool.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
Michael Anton directed the critically acclaimed comedy “Potheads” at the age of 21. The star studded cast included Pauley Perrette (NCIS) Ray Park (STAR WARS/GI JOE) Efren Ramirez (Napoleon Dynamite) Stefan Gordy “Redfoo” (LMFAO) Sala Baker (Sherlock Holmes 2) EG Daily, Sonia Rockwell, and many more. The film was credited by one global publication as “The 21st Century Answer to Monty Python” Michael directed two other films “Dead in Texas” and “Kill Johnny”
CAN A LOW BUDGET TESLA FILM WORK?
YES. Although the actual production budget will be much higher (est. 400k), Cameras and other required film equipment today are light years ahead of what they were a decade ago, so shooting a cost effective, visually striking film for 400k is not a long shot although we will campaign in hopes of reaching a higher mark. The film’s director Michael Anton has extensive experience working with micro budget films as his first film “Potheads” was only 20k in budget even with the star studded cast.
