TEKTEKAN
Presentasi saya kali ini masih dalam lingkup karawitan Bali, yaitu mengenai musik Bali yang memiliki keunikan dan struktur tersendiri yang merupakan suatu warisan nenek moyang dan orang-orang terdahulu yang mengalami suatu kejadian-kejadian atau peristiwa sejarah sehingga mempengaruhi kebiasaan dan kebudayaan generasi penerusnya termasuk peninggalan berupa Artefact kebudayaan. salah satu artifact kebudayaan yang dimaksud adalah ‘tektekan’. Tektekan dilihat dari etimologi atau asal mula terbentuknya suatu kata, tektekan berasal dari kata ‘tek’ yang merupakan bunyi yang dihasilkan oleh instrument sederhana dari bamboo yaitu ‘kulkul’ dimainkan dengan cara dipukul dan menghasilkan suara ‘tekk’lalu di jadikan kata benda menjadi TEKTEKAN.
Tektekan merupakan salah satu kesenian karawitan khas dari daerah tabanan yaitu tepatnya di daerah/kecamatan kerambitan, kesenian tektekan pada awal mulanya merupakan suatu ritual atau upacara yang bertujuan untuk mengusir dan menetralisir bala dan wabah penyakit di desa kerambitan tabanan karena menurut informasi yang saya peroleh, pada tahun 1920 warga kerambitan tabanan mengalami musibah grubug/penyakit non medis, yang konon disebabkan oleh mahluk halus, banyak menelan korban dan tentu saja masyarakat pada waktu itu merasa hawatir, untuk mengurangi rasa takutnya masyarakat berbondong-bondong keluar rumah dan sengaja untuk membuat kegaduhan dengan membunyikan barang-barang bekas yang tidak terpakai.
Sepuluh tahun setelah peristiwa tersebut tepatnya pada tahun 1930 masyarakat kerambitan kembali mengalami musibah serupa, dan mencoba berbagai cara untuk menghilangkan wabah penyakit itu termasuk melakukan upacara ritual mecaru dan kembali membunyikan alat-alat yang bersuara keras, mulai saat itulah kulkul di buat.
Selanjutnya setelah tahun 1965 tektekan akhirnya menggunakan ceritra Calonarang yang disesuaikan dengan sifat awal terciptanya Tektekan sebagai upaya pengusiran roh jahat yang berhubungan dengan bhuta kala kemudian dengan mengarak Barong dan Rangda mengelilingi desa, kegiatan seperti ini rutin dilakukan terutama pada hari pengerupukan yaitu sehari sebelum hari Nyepi dengan diikuti segenap warga masyarakat Desa Kerambitan. Adapun instrument yang dipergunakan dalam barungan tektekan adalah dua buah kendang, sebuah kecek, suling, kajar,sepasang gong, serta kulkul yang berjumlah banyak(bebas)
Seiring berjalannya waktu Tektekan berkembang menjadi suatu seni pertunjukan yang dipentaskan demi kebutuhan pariwisata budaya di desa kerambitan, disaksikan oleh tourist domistik maupun mancanegara.
